Based on a reliable report from Uganda wildlife Authority, the tourists number increase by about 14000 in 2013 higher than visitor numbers in 2012.
Foreign tourist’s numbers totaled to 91999 while the rest were domestic tourists. This increase in number is Uganda’s unbeatable gorilla trek and other tourism attractions plus the influence of getting outstanding awards in 2012 and 2013 as leading destinations in lonely planet and voters on Tripadvisor.
Uganda Trek also had an increase of 200 tourists in 2013 compared to 2012. ‘It was a year of great success and we hope 2014/ 2015 will bring in more tourists. Uganda also made it on the international scale when Kidepo Valley national park was listed among the top ten parks in Africa.
